Project Background
Webware.io supports small businesses to grow with a professional online marketing toolkit. The toolkit includes a ready-to-use website, e-commerce platform, blog, email newsletter, social hub management and search engine optimization (SEO). Webware focuses on small service businesses that are selling their expertise on an hourly basis such as lawyers, accountants, etc. Webware was generating leads by SEO and social media marketing; however, they were facing issues connecting with its customers due to ineffective website content and structure.
Identifying the problem
HOW MIGHT WE IMPROVE THE ENGAGEMENT OF POTENTIAL CUSTOMERS WITH WEBWARE.IO’S WEBSITE AND LEAD THEM TO SIGN UP FOR A DEMO?
Defining Goals
To fill up gaps in the user journey for a smooth website browsing experience.
To convey the product story more meaningfully so users get a better understanding of the company’s work.
To introduce products and services pricing packages for better transparency.
Research
USER RESEARCH
User research was conducted through survey and interviews to understand the problem areas of current options and expectations from such platforms. Below are some findings from the research.
PERSONA ANALYSIS
Personas are fictional characters, which we create based upon our research to represent the different user types that might similarly use our platform/product. Creating personas helps us to understand our users’ needs, experiences, behaviors, and goals. Personas make the design task at hand less complex, they guide our ideation processes, and they can help us to achieve the goal of creating a good user experience for our target user group. Following 4 personas have been created with survey and interview done for ‘Webware.io’.

Ideate
CONTENT AS CONVERSATION
This is a fantastic technique to initialize ideation for the website features and elements. We tried imagining how the website can hold a normal conversation with an user, which helped us with our design process.

CONTENT STRATEGY
Next we prepared a strategy for the website contents to create an optimal journey for the users.
Design
According to the scope of the project, we were not required to create the final designs of the pages. So we created the prototype of the website with below wireframed screens. Wireframes are the skeletal representation of a platform that doesn't contain any image, but only indicates the placement of different elements. A functioning prototype helps people to understand how the actual platform would perform once it is fully developed.
